Lydia Tischler - a student of Anna Freud. Honorary member of the British Psychoanalytical Society. One of the founders of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (EFPP). Made a significant contribution to the development of child and adolescent psychoanalysis. She was one of the leading teachers at the Han Groen-Prakken Psychoanalytic Institute (PIEE), for 40 years acted as chair of the association and chair of the child training committee of British association of Psychotherapy (BAP). She conducted educational training in the UK, Czech Republic, Estonia, and Russia. On December 29, 2025, she was awarded the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by King Charles III as an outstanding child analyst and for her services to Holocaust Remembrance. In 2023 received The Times Sternberg Active Life Award.
