Anders Zachrisson was a training and child psychoanalyst in the Norwegian Psychoanalytic Society, and associate professor emeritus, Psychological department, University of Oslo, combining classical and modern psychoanalytic approaches..

He was editor of The Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Review 1993-1997, and president of the Norwegian Psychoanalytic Society 2002-2006. He has been lecturing and supervising at the School for child and adolescent psychoanalysis in the Psychoanalytic Institute for Eastern Europe (Han Groen-Prakken Psychoanalytic Institute for Eastern Europe) and in psychotherapy training programmes in Beijing and Wuhan. He was also member, first of the Sponsoring, and then of the Liaison Committee for Moscow Psychoanalytic Society Study Group. Author of more than 20 articles on psychoanalysis.
